Okay, so I don't know who is/isn't aware of what's apparently going on with Amazon, but apparently they've been eating ignorant-asshole-oh's for breakfast again.
Basically they've stripped sales rankings from gay and lesbian literature - they're saying it's because of "adult content" but when you're censoring on the basis of homosexuality you end up with inconsistencies, like say, taking out a young adult novel, but leaving your playboys where they are.

A definition has been proposed for Amazon Rank. That's a google bomb, the idea is that if enough people link it it'll be the number one hit of anybody searching 'amazon rank'. The hope is for enough people to do it, that it will hit them in the PR and hope it'll hurt.
This all boils down to simple discrimination. I know that only a few people regularly read this, but discrimination needs to be called out for what it is. In a recession, my main weapon is my custom, which I will be taking elsewhere, and Amazon will be receiving an email to that effect shortly.
