Idea stolen from
katu! I thought it was the cutest meme idea ever to post your action figures, so I totally ninja'd her idea and here they are! :)
I've also included plastic figurines generally I hope that's not against the er... rules? If there are any? XD
I started with my bookshelf and with the legitimate 'action figures'... mostly anime and mostly pretty old, since I'm not that into it anymore :(
Spike from Cowboy Bebop -- the gun is removable, as is the tiny tiny cigarette between his fingers which I think is the coolest thing ever :P There's a little hole there to hold it if you want him to have Hardofcore Smoking Action™.
Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. This is a really nifty action figure - he's fully poseable, all the joints bend, and he comes with
a ton of interchangeable parts. The body of the jacket comes off as well so you can totally change his appearance. Since being into ball jointed dolls I am such a geek for motile, customisable figurines :P
Naruto from uh, Naruto... with Kyuubi background. Not a great pic but its a pretty cute figure IRL, pity Naruto went all lame soon after I bought this (hello like A HUNDRED EPISODES OF FILLER) and I stopped watching it :T
Inuyasha figures - little Sesshoumaru, Big Sesshoumaru (with actually fluffy fur stole :3), Snarl-face Inuyasha (the more common one has a
randomly ._. face for a dude in that pose carrying that sword) and Kagome. Another series that I'm not really into anymore, though I still think it's cute.
My one pinky (whyyy are their heads so enormous and solid that their whole bodies BEND under the weight O___O) and Kimimaro, a minor AND YET AWESOME evil character from Naruto - hence the tiny, crappy action figure, since they didn't make any prettiful big ones of him!
The top right corner of my wardrobe is Nightmare Before Christmas stuff, as well as my lonely Victoria from Corpse Bride...
Unfortunate upnose pic of my Jack and Zero bobblehead -- Zero is also mounted on a spring, so he bobbles too :P
Solar powered Jack bobblehead that my sister gave me for my birthday this year... hehe
Excuse the bad focus and the dust (these guys are AWLD, look how bendy the big dude's legs have gotten T__T) the band from Nightmare Before Christmas :D still probably my favourite figurines despite their decrepitness.
Victoria from Corpse Bride :) you can see I still have the tiny vase, in the bottom right, but I lost the little sprig of flowers... D:
My awesome dangly Jack has been relegated to the other room, since there's nowhere for him to dangle with the other NBC stuff XD
The Princess of Japan barbie lives next to the Tim Burton things. The bronze horse behind her was abandoned in my school art room, it's a proper cast bronze statue. It looks awesome irl.
Critters!! :) I used to collect these... they wind up, and then either walk or jump depending on the design. My favourites are the original Critter (with the very long legs), Awika (the curly green handles - he's a firefly and his tail puts out sparks as he walks along!) and Bongo, the caterpillar in the front... who is just awesome.
Most of my girlier stuff is out on the little white bookshelf in the living room:
I know lots of people hate them, but I have a weakness for the new bobble head Littlest Pet Shops. I just put out my favourites though, I have an army of kinda boring cats, dogs and rabbits that are in a box somewhere.
Back row (starting with the pink fish tank) is a clown fish, a seahorse, a butterfly, a dragonfly and a giraffe.
Front row is a mouse, a snail (EEEEE <3), a pig, an iguana, a chinchilla and a CORGI <333 ... my parents have a pet corgi, I love them.
Yes, there's more =___=... sorry...
Back row is pandas, a skunk, a fish (supposed to be sitting in a fishing hole), a fuzzy penguin on a sled
Front row is the corgi again, three monkeys, two turtles and a PIRATE PARROTTTT YARRRRRRRRR
... who completely deserves his own photo. 8D
Kokeshi dolls :) I tried to pose them kinda like they were gossiping, or something.
My two self customised blythes, Amelia (former Rainy Day Parade) and Imelda (former My Best Friend). I even rooted their hair myself... I actually enjoy doing it, although I did have some trouble with Amelia's scalp. Rainy Day Parades apparently have about 90 times more glue than usual :P
And my first Blythe and first attemp at customising, the very posh and purse-lipped Imelda (former Merry Skier) with her froofy Littlest Pet Shop cats :P
last but certainly not least, in pride of place on our coffee table -----
OPTIMASH PRIIIIIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why yes, yes that is a Transformers Mr Potato Head. OF EPICAL WIN!!! The little truck on his left hand is like a miniature toy truck, I just have him holding it so I know where it is :P
