Here we go. One more trip down Memory Lane... although the road needs a little repair here and there.
Wednesday - First day of my senior year. I was soooo.... not excited. Had Federal Tax with Mrs. Fast, love her heart. That class is gonna really really suck. Two giant tax returns along with the chapter tests and tax research... big bummer. I can't remember what I did after that (see, I told you about those Memory Lane potholes...), so, moving along....
Thursday - Started off with Advanced with Mrs. Kilgore at 8. Again, another class that's gonna suck. This time we've got a "project" that's like 20% of our grade. I think we have to do like a 10 page paper on it sometime... to go along with the other paper I'll soon mention... After that, I met up with Ashley to try and kill the 3 hours we had before our next classes. We grabbed some breakfast, then ran over to check out the new Wal-Mart. It's ass backwards from every other SWM I've ever seen. Groceries on the right, toys on the left, electronics in the back? Huh? This is also where "The Quest for the College Ruled Notebook" began. All I wanted was a little one or three-subject notebook to use for Econ since my binder is full enough as it is, and I don't want to lug it around more than I need to. Anyway, of course we looked in WM first. The had a little pile of wide ruled notebooks and like one or two of those Five-Star ones that are like five bucks a piece. I am NOT paying that for a damned little notebook I'm gonna use for one course, so we moved on. Well, first Ashley had to use that damn self check-out thing and the woman at the assistance counter had to come help lol. THEN, we moved on... We hit up the DG in downtown Norton. Found some notebooks, all wide ruled. Went to Big Lots. Didn't find squat there and now my hope is dwindling. K-Mart was my last resort. I wonder if the woman who kicked us out was in there this time? I had no idea. Anyway, we find a HUGE pile of notebooks in here and the candle of hope burns brightly.... Search through a few of them and notice a little pattern: not a damned one of them is college ruled lol. The flame of hope is smothered. Kah-put.... We killed enough time so we headed on back. Next up was Econ with Stratton. Gary is cool. I think that class may actually be interesting since we talk about what's going on in the world and how everything affects the economy in some way. I skipped Auditing because she said she was just gonna keep us like 15 minutes and let us go, so we could if we wanted. Obviously I jumped all over that since I wasn't thrilled at the idea of staying two more hours to have 15 minutes of nothing. I came on home and said goodbye to any free time I might ever have again.
Friday - Tax. Homework. Went to Chad's to watch the Busch race and just get the hell away haha. I also gave him the money for my Charlotte ticket on October 15!!! It falls right when fall break begins and is only a week before my birthday on the 22nd. That's gonna be sweet...
Saturday - Most of it was spent trying to tear down the mountain of homework I had from Thursday and Friday, but early I was over at Mike's to help with installing his wood stove in his building. We had a nice talk afterwards. Mike is one of my favorite people in the family defintately. Later on, Steve came up and watched the Bristol race with me. Bise also came down and tried to fix the satellite in my room, which went out the day before and is STILL not back. Played a little guitar for the first time in a bit. Called it a night.
Sunday - What happened Sunday...... If anyone knows, tell me. lol
Monday - Tax. I actually got most of the homework right, which I was VERY proud of. Now I had four hours to kill until Senior Seminar. I went to Wal-Mart because we had some necessities that we were out of. Saw some people from school there killing time too, and some that I just hadn't seen in a while period. Around 1 I rode out to Chuck's. I found that one of the dudes I have Tax with is also Chuck's pal, so we all hung out for a bit. We decided to go to Captain D's and get some lunch. Chicken is better than fish, anywhere, anytime, by the way... just thought I'd throw that in there...lol. Anyway, 3 rolled around and I was in Seminar. Frey and Achua seem like really cool guys. Frey reminds me of Mr. Boyd in some ways, and Achua is just really funny. Now the bad part of Seminar: 15-30 page paper, minimum 20 sources, due by mid-November. Yeah. Just great. Just what I needed on top of that Advanced and Tax crap that's gonna be running my life lol. Thanks.
Today - Advanced. Found out I did almost all the homework wrong, as did everyone else since... well, I won't get into that since no one will know what I'm talking about, but let's just say the book didn't show us a very key part. She's grading homework on accuracy instead of effort this year, so we're all screwed lol. I think that policy will probably change before all is said and done... I hung out at Chuck's till time for Econ. I watched the first Vampire Hunter D movie and borrowed the second book from Charles. He needed to make a pit stop by Taco Bell, where I had him try the crunchwrap since it's almost the best thing on the menu haha. I didn't eat though since I had plans for after Econ. Econ was just us talking about the hurricane and Iraq and anything else in the news really. We had a couple of problems assigned for the end of class but it wasn't a big deal. I met Britt in the student center afterwards, and we went to Mi Finca's (love that place) for lunch. I have no freakin' idea what she got but I got the fajitas. Great, as usual. After some nice conversation and around 3, we headed back to the college where I dropped her off at her dorm, and I went on to Auditing... Auditing really wasn't that bad. At least, it's not yet. Erin and I had to look up some stuff on the whole Enron deal, and that was pretty much it. Came home and loaded up a double chair for Rob's mom. Today was her birthday, and he wanted me to deliver it up there for a surprise, so of course I did. He said she was really surprised and really liked it, which is awesome.
Okay, that's definately enough for this entry lol. I was gonna put some lyrics in at the end, but I think I'll save that for later this week now...
