Real Orchestra Sent Home Without Supper...

Putting together a nice string arrangement for the verses on "Edward R." using my handy toy GPX keyboard.  They don't make 'em like that anymore.

So, after two days of rewriting in the melody desert, what have I got?  The verses and bridge are pretty much set in stone.  The chorus needs a little work but the basic idea is there to work off.  This could be a weird (yet oddly stubborn) song.  Jittery Aphex Twin verses are jumped in a dark alley by a sudden string flourish, leading to a doo-wop chorus filled with harmonies.  It might be the kind of song that ends up in a place it didn't start out looking for.  Don't have enough songs like that.  Possible opener for side two on vinyl?

At home, it's the week of repairs.  Everything seems to be breaking around here.  We have two repair guys visiting at the same time later this week.  Maybe we can trick them into switching roles:  "While you're working on that washing machine, are you any good with cable boxes?"  And vice-versa.
