stupid Christians... get the theology straight. It's right there in the BIBLE!

I got a little angry at a few Christians today. Mom told me that she just heard a speaker on the Christian radio say "there's two kinds of sinners. The ones going to Hell, and the ones saved by grace going to heaven." This Calvanistic doctrine is very dangerous and blatantly wrong. Where it may not seem to be doing much harm (as most people like to ( Read more... )

if were arguing about what it says in the bible then you also are not totally right. I beleive that I am a sinner... and jon so are you... benny hinn is sinner and billy grahm is a sinner. it is God that saves me from that sin every day. "ALL we like sheep have turned away" its not just those who deny God that live in sin and its wrong to even think that. Sin happes in everyones life... no its not right... and no God does not like it he hates it in fact but the truth is... it happens. and there is no use denying it. for anyone to take the quote "Any one who keeps on sinning cannot remain in me and does not know me" so literaly states that you your self are perfection because you make the choose to to remain in God... to which I can make the quote "all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOd" The deciples sinned and That is human... the christian part of it is diening to that sin daly and yes striveing for perfection and not settleing for the ways of the world. But I would like to remember that God is only perfect and perfection is not expected to be reached it is goal that I will obtain when I get to heavan.

so I will continue to try to be perftct but I will continue to admit my sins. becasue I like you am a sinner and its a choice to become so overwhelmed by guilt and pain by that sin but its completely different to ignore it. I realize that you may not have ment to ignore it or to say that you are perfect but in the perception of those reading your journal who do not know christ it can become intimidating to think that God will not settle for lest and will not be a comfort to you unless perfection is reached... becasue in that case heaven is out of reach for all of us.

Jen, Jen, Jenny, Jen, Jen, Jen, Jen... You're mis-understanding the point. The point is not to say that people don't sin (I'm fully aware of this) it's that paople don't have to. Christians have the power to resist temptation and to resist sin. Christians SHOULDN'T sin ever in their Christian walk. The fact that they do doesn't mean that they should and it doesn't mean that I have to. Jesus calls everyone to be Holy just as God is Holy. Jesus wouldn't command us to do something if it were outside the possibility to do it. No, we cannot achieve this Christian perfection on our own, it is only through the power Jesus allows us that makes it so we don't have to sin.

To say that sin is innevitable after Accepting Christ completely disregards and limits the power of the cross and makes Christ's purpose next to meaningless.

Perfection, or Holiness, IS something to be attained here on earth. Chrsit called us to be the light in this world, to be like Him and to be the example as He was the example for us. He commands perfection from us and promises that it is something we can do. Philipians 4:13. Limiting the power of God to say that His power isn't enought to keep us from sinning is just silly.
