What I've been doing.

Watched the season finales of both Lie to Me and Castle last night. Both shows, in my opinion, are pretty good. Tim Roth is pretty solid in Lie to Me as the main character. My complaint however, is that I feel at times in certain episodes that scenes that really don't have anything to do with the plot of the episode at all are written for the sole purpose of showing off Dr.Lightman's talents. I mean the whole show is based around his ability to read people and is used every episode in the plot. So, additional scenes to showcase this just seem pointless to me. The last couple of episodes I haven't seen that so much so I'm hoping they're breaking that habit.

Castle makes me laugh. Nathan Fillion plays novelist Rick Castle, a shallow, egotistical and womanizing celebrity so well. It's a pretty standard opposites attract buddy show but think the performances of the two main characters and the onscreen chemistry they have together make it work better than most.

I'm finally almost done with Battlestar Galactica. Fucking wow man. I love this show and really wish season 4 wasn't the end. I just hope Hulu posts the episodes I haven't seen yet because I don't want to wait for the DVD release of 4.5 to see the rest.

Done with Dexter season 2. Not as good as the first season but there were some pretty cool moments. The confrontations with Doakes were sweet and I thought the truth behind Harry Morgan's death was interesting. Hopefully the third season will pick up the tone the first season had.

Saw X-Men Origins: Wolverine with Fulmer. It....wasn't.....terrible? I wish I hadn't spend the money to see in theaters. Definitely a rent only movie. Hugh Jackman IS Wolverine and that really is one of the best things about the movie. Liev Schrieber did a better job as Sabertooth than I thought he would. I mean, he's a pretty good actor. He just wasn't someone who popped in my head when I think of Sabertooth. What they did with Deadpool was fucking lame as hell though. I mean, casting Ryan Reynolds is fine. There's no problem there. He did ok. My complaint was that he didn't get his costume, not even a modified version of it. He didn't even get the mask because the studio wanted people to know it was Ryan Reynolds playing him. Then they just go to shit town with the character. He's "The Deadpool". Weapon XI. The perfect mutant killing machine. He possess mutant abilities from several captured subjects including Wolverine's healing factor, Cyclops' optic blast (yeah, fucking Cyclops was in the movie) and some dude name Wraith's ability to teleport. Oh, and here's the kicker. Deadpool's two katana that he has and loves so much now come out of his arms like giant versions of Wolverine's claws. Ok, after reading all of that I've changed my mind. The movie sucked. Hugh, do yourself a favor and stay away from more Wolverine movies. Oh, wait, you didn't listen because you've signed up for a sequel.

The new Star Trek movie was amazing. I've never been a hugh Trek fan but this movie was great. I've started watching the original series online. Kind of wish I could find someplace online with The Next Generation.

Half way through Clash of Kings. Sweet as hell is how I'd some up my opinion of the series so far. I'm a fan of pretty much all the main characters with the exception of Sansa. Am I the only one who thinks she's kind of useless and annoying?

Played and won Call of Duty: World at War. Not the best COD game, but still pretty fun. The two campaigns are the USMC's battles in the Pacific Theater ending with the battle of Okinawa and the Russians taking the fight into Germany and climaxing with the siege of the Reichstag during the Battle of Berlin. My main complaint of the game was that at times the difficulty was just absurd. I played through the game on normal and there were times I swear the game amped up to hard. I really dug a lot of the cinematic feel to the game, especially the end of the Russian campaign where you plant the Russian flag above the Reichstag.

I'm currently playing Dead Space and I'm liking pretty much everything about the game. The atmosphere is fucked up and creepy, I love the fact that there is no HUD at all and any of the game menus are brought up like programs on your guys' computer display. I think this is one of the first survival horror games where, even though I know I'm going to be attacked, the attacks actually feel random. I find myself jumping at every little sound I hear in the game because it could mean something is about to jump me. It's such a good game. I just wish I'd gotten around to playing it sooner.

Today was a long day. Jere, my dad, his fiance and myself went to the Baseball Hall of Fame up in Cooperstown. I'm not really into baseball but I enjoyed myself. The museum was really nice and was pretty neat to see and be around things that seriously had a lot of history to them. They had some OLD stuff. They had the very first baseball ever used in a professional baseball game from back in the late 1800's. This wasn't a replica, this was the actual ball. All in all, it was a good day.

Work is still pretty much the same. Love life is still pretty much the same (virtually non-existent). I think I've lost some weight? I look a little smaller.
