Inside the Minds of Simple Australians
There was a poll on an Australian news website today. Question: "Should workers get a 5 per cent pay rise to cope with inflation?"
A huge majority - 79% of voters, presumably Aussies - voted yes.
WHAT DO YOU THINK CAUSES INFLATION IN THE FIRST PLACE, NUMBSKULLS????
Of course, most workers get their annual performance reviews and pay rises. But if we were to simply give an extra 5% to everyone, it would not mean anything. Everyone would still be in the same position they were in before because it wouldn't be long before prices of goods rose by 5%+inflation as well.
I truly hope 79% of people in my country are not that dumb. Maybe it's just those who have access to the internet....
