graduation poem
Its over, its finished, its done.
It has ended as quickly as it had begun.
We’ve finished the first segment,
And now, its time to start the second.
As we all part ways, as we all leave,
Its sort of hard for me to believe,
That it’s been so many years,
And now we’re all shifting gears.
Its time to move on, its time to grow,
time to build and time to show,
That on our own, we can do it,
That without our elders we can make it.
It seems like yesterday I was getting apprehensive,
But just for a kindergarten commencement.
For you see, to us, Its been a while,
But to you, its been as quick as a fleeting smile.
Every one of us has been looking forward to this day,
With great anticipation, and much unwanted delay.
So now, let me ask you all this favor,
Never allow life to pass you by, and every moment, please savor.
Finally, as we all begin a new chapter,
Let us not forget what we had, the fun, the memories and the laughter.
