Today I find myself wishing to write, with God in mind and also in the background of my writing. I stumbled upon some stuff I had copied off of another's page, and today I wish to respond in a general way.
He had been rambling on about a dinner he had been invited to, and a woman he had encountered at the dinner table, whose ideas of God were

Case in point: Have you read my blog? I have actually taken out most of my ramblings about anything other than family and thoughts pertaining to God. I think of my page as a place to discuss God, and the pursuit of God, and yet you choose it to use foul language.
A liberal, very liberal education.
As for my "narrow point of view, of which you know practically nothing, you've already shown your colors on your page about your own narrow viepoint(the dinner...).
You wanted to be challenged, you wanted forgiveness, but yet you foul my page with your profanity. A bit of humility is what you need.
As for your liberal arts' professors, they go through no more scrutiny than many bible college professors, and yet they diverge and freelance within their particular studies.
You may not have come across this reality, but I have, and others I know have. And as for those incompetent professors you speak of, that is simply not true. Educational institutions are just as guilty as businesses in retaining personnel who lack the skills and judgement in carrying out their jobs. Cronyism is rife in our institutions.
You have the education, as you have so overstated as of late. Try and use a bit of it and avoid the little symbols you use to imply profanity. Just because so much of our society can't speak without it, doesn't give you the excuse to use it. Indeed, because of your education, you should be able to get around such lowness.
And don't be so high-minded in your replies. I gave a simple view on this issue, and you went crazy, as if I were challenging the validity of your degree.
God doesn't need any universities to unveil His mysteries and will to us. That was my point in discussing both options of theological education.
What's more important is that you have a tangible experience of God that will not go away when life hits you full in the face. Do you believe in miracles, in healing, raising people from the dead, being miraculously rescued from dire circumstances when no rational proof of deliverance is there but God's intervention?
Do you believe you have a God-ordained destiny for this life that you must discover and implement to be fulfilled? Do you believe you are a sinner or a saint? Are you righteous, or filthy?
Do you have a divine nature, or are you relegated to exist in human nature?
We put God in a box, not the world. It's time to break Him out of our own limitations and mindsets, and walk in a higher realm.
Now, if you can talk passionately about any of these last questions I posed, then by all means, post a reply. Leave the profanity on your page.
