12/25/13:

'Because We Are Americans: What We Discovered On September 11, 2001'  edited by Jesse Kornbluth and Jessica Papin.

[I don't care how we feel about September 11. How we feel now 12 years later about that day and the people who did those things. Read the book. Cry. Laugh. Smile. Remember why we are Americans. Remember why we rise up over everything that can and does happen.

Remember strangers giving up their lives for us.Remember the police and firefighters and the military that doesn't back down in the face of tragedy. Remember that no matter what happens we are all humans and we are all responsible for the way we act.

Care. Don't hate. Just care.

I want that to be resolution for the next year and the rest of my life. I have trouble with it, I will always have trouble with it but I want to care. To not hate, just care.

I am American, I will always be an American. I thank God for our military, for our civilians, for our EMTs, our police, our firefighters, for everyone who cares about strangers, who get yelled at, beaten at, Thank You. Thank you for caring no matter what.

Thank you.]
