Question on the ages in the Marvel Universe:

Nov 08, 2013 08:29

Both comics and movies.

Okay, so I'm confused on the ages of some of the characters.

Like Tony for instance...if Steve's been asleep for almost 70 years in the movie (I don't know how long in the comics, someone let me know please?) did Howard have Tony really late in life? Because weren't most of the guys like in their twenties or etc so would they still be alive? I think so because I know people still in their 80's or so but they have grandchildren....so wouldn't Howard have grandchildren by now? Tony's like what....in his late 30's, early 40's...so how does that work?

Really, how does it work that Tony isn't older and Coulson, if he is Peggy's son like I've seen flying around (which he probably isn't but still) is the age he is? Which by the way how old is Coulson?

I'm so confused on how they can keep the characters so young compared to how many years passed. Because it's like only 68 years if you put 2011 and 1943 (Steve went down then correct or was it '42) together...

The ages don't match and I'm wondering...are we supposed to ignore that for the characters or not?

movies, captain america: the first avenger, comics
