Remember, Never Forget.

Dec 07, 2012 19:01

We need to remember. It doesn't matter how many years pass, we need
to remember. To forget is to let it happen again. No one wants it to
happen again, which is why we need to remember.

Remember the fallen, the living. The soldiers who give everything for us. The wars
that were fought, the battles being fought, the battles to come.
Remember.

The Revolutionary War, The War of 1812, The Civil War,
Vietnam, Korea (which we barely hear anything about, at least I do, we
hear more about Vietnam than Korea which is so wrong.), World War I,
World War II, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and more.

No matter how many years and decades pass, even centuries, we can NEVER FORGET.

People gave all, give all for us civilians, the ones who can never do or will do what they have and can.

We can never forget. This country was built on people believing in it, on
each other, on never giving up, never forgetting where we came from.

This country stands for us all. But it won't stand without it's citizens.

We came together when needed, lets come together even when it isn't.

Today might be December 7 but it is also a day to just work together.

I am proud to be an American Citizen. I just want to be a citizen of a
country who never gives up, never compromises. Because right now it
seems as if we are.  As if we forget why men and women fought and died
for this country. Why they still fight for this country.

Remember. Never forget. Be thankful. Be helpful. Love. Don't hate. Remember our past, don't let it happen in the future.

Never forget, always remember.
