My thoughts/comments on The Avengers while I watch it:
I had this whole post on what I liked and disliked about this film. But I dropped my computer and I lost it. :( I'm going to try from memory.
I love Clint, I love Natasha, I like Fury, I like Hill, I love Bruce, I love Steve, I love Tony, I lover Thor, I love Loki, I love Dr. Selvig (wish he had a bigger role), I love Phil.
I really like how they introduce the characters. Like Steve's going into Tony's and etc. I like how it is almost all action, how the characters go against each other. My favorite scenes I think are the ones where the brothers fight each other and the team fights each other before working together. I love how even against all odds they keep fighting, never giving up.
I don't understand why Loki never got away when Tony and Steve were fighting each other. Why he had to go with them, I guess because the Tesseract was on there, the plane. I hate the fact that Natasha and Clint aren't in it more. I wish they were.
Also I bet Phil is still alive, the way Hill says about the cards being in his locker not his jacket, the way Fury doesn't even check his pulse, the way he lies...all to get them to move and work together.
Some of my favorite lines are the ones where Tony says that they will avenge the earth if they can't save it and the line about pissing off someone else, Phil. I think Tony knows he is alive, I bet you he does.
Oh, Steve might fight with Tony but when the SHEILD ship is hit, Tony is the one he grabs and makes sure is fine first.
Pepper and Tony are more like brother and sister than girlfriend/boyfriend to me. That kiss was more like a sibling kiss than anything else. Natasha and Clint act more like a couple than those two. Even the scene with Pepper on his face mask does nothing for me and this couple. Tony and Steve do more...
I love how Bruce's secret is he is always angry. How Tony is always more worried about others than himself, though he doesn't seem like it. Steve is such a good captain...he gets people to answer to him just by protecting them. By feeling for them, feeling every hurt, every hit, every death. Bruce is freaking awesome, I don't know how to explain it, he just is.
Natasha is afraid of the Hulk, which is so unrealistic you can't believe it but also really great, and I actually thought Clint was going to save her even though I should have remembered it was Thor because of the gif sets going around. I also like the thought of Clint calling Natasha 'Nat' which is how she knows he remembers her. I love the scenes with them. I do wish Phil would be alive, I think he is...
Crap, so good, so freaking good. The music/soundtrack is awesome. I need to look it up, check out the music inspired by and written for the movie.
The ending is really awesome, I like how they have respect for everyone now. Okay...am I missing the scene/did I miss it where they get together to eat? Because the last thing I knew was that Tony suggested it...ah, it's at the end of the credits...
I saw a lot of this movie but yes, this is the first time I saw the whole movie.
