Elevators are not made for playing in or around. They are for the use of residents, visitors, guests, and staff to get to different floors. They are used to bring up food, clothing, EMTs, housekeeping, maintenance, and etc to clean, take people to and from appointments, and to let family visit each other. There are steps around to use but elevators are in demand. Especially at a nursing home where most of the residents are in wheel chairs or use walkers to get around.
Sorry, I just get so mad when I see elevators not being used the proper way. Like this afternoon for example. there were some kids who had the elevator on stop and was using it like it was one of their play things. It wasn't. I asked them to stop because people need the elevator to move around in my work. I also told the LPN to keep an eye on the kids because of that. Then as I was going down they came up to the elevator along with their dad. I asked if they were going to get on and he said they would wait for the next one. I think they told him but I believe i didn't do anything wrong. Yes, I told the girls downstairs he was probably pissed but still I believe I had a right to stop them.
Okay I'm done bitching now. What do you all think? Did I ask okay or did I do something wrong? I want some other opinions because the ones I asked at work agreed with me. Thanks for letting me bitch though.
I lost my phone Thursday but got it back tonight! yes!! Actually I turned it off so it wasn't used. I hope it's good, I kind of need it for school this week for pics on it. I'm just so happy!! Wonder what's going on with my nephew.
