Finished!

"The King's Speech: How One Man Saved The British Monarchy"

I just finished the book by Mark Logue and Peter Conradi today and it seems well timed. I just started Speech class.

What can I say? I loved the book. It took me a bit longer than I thought to finish because I gave up on it for at least two weeks (so it seems). Once I got back into the book, it pulled me in.

Not only was it about a man helping a king overcome speech problems but it went a little into their personal lives. Learning how a king worked on a problem he hated, how he strove to overcome it, is inspiring.

I love talking but hate standing up and giving speeches. Reading about real life people, famous and ordinary, and seeing how they worked to overcome obstacles that could hinder them is inspiring.

I will get over this. I will be great. I will do my best. I'll become a great speaker and pass this course with confidence I never had before.

Get the "The King's Speech: How One Man Saved The British Monarchy" and read it especially people who love history or hate speaking to large crowds. You won't be disappointed in the book.
