So I know I said I wasn't going to update much, but for those of you not "priviliged" enough to have my new journal name, here's what I've been up to:
"The entire purpose of going to Atlanta was that it would be a one-night jaunt so that I could take a look at Emory University. As such, we saw fit to book a cheap-ass hotel, and man, we hit the jackpot.
The Microtel Inn and Suites in Buckhead (northern Atlanta) is directly across the street from The Pink Pony. I don't know exactly what The Pink Pony is, but their billboard said that the Sin Twins would be there all week, so I made some assumptions. Club Miami was down the street, and next to The Pink Pony was Don Pollo's, a Mexican/Japanese restaurant. But it gets better! When we got into the hotel, the woman at the front desk told us we had been upgraded. The 'upgrade' was that there was a mattress and pillow in the windowsill, so that I would have a place to sleep. The sheets on this mattress had a large bloodstain on them. I honestly couldn't make this up."
Also, I touched on this earlier, but I really enjoyed the new Harry Potter. The book was an experience for me because, while I had in my mind an idea of what logically should happen, I kept anticipating some sort of swerve so that it wouldn't happen, because what should (and eventually did) happen is something that's going to suck the soul and trust out of some poor kids.
With love from Tampa,
