Surprisingly, the same number as Emily: 22!
I have fewer in my 'to-read' column than she does. One I would recommend as great literature which wasn't on here is Black Rain by Ibuse Masuji. It tells the story of a woman caught during the A-bomb drop in Japan. Amazingly gripping and well written. It should be a classic (but I guess there aren't too many Japanese authors on that list...)
Okay. I spent 10 minutes on that... and my student is apparently 15 min late now... Guess I'll call.
*edit: the e-mail said 12:30. Nevermind. I'm just 30 min early! Time to catch up on my news!
