It's my sister's birthday! Yay to Jessi!
And, I woke up early and put the beef stew in the crock pot. It's for my dinner tonight with a friend, who I haven't seen in a long time, I'm getting really pumped about it! Last time we hung out, I got to play with a dog!
Anywho, I got up, cooked beef stew, and I have spinach and cut strawberries with a raspberry walnut vinaigrette waiting for me when I go home! And I went to the gym and ran a mile, and then played racquetball with Melissa - in fact I'm at the gym right now waiting for her to get done showering. My lecture I teach for is cancelled today because my boss is out sick... so I am shooting to get into work, buckle down, and see how much I can crank out. Things have been going really well at work. I'm excited!
This week I haven't been able to fit in all my friends wanting to hang out, but last night I got to have a great night with Steph. We usually hang out and just 'live life' together. You know, tv, movies, reading, etc. But I wanted to go out and celebrate the fact that we don't need dates to have a blast! We're friends! So we went out for dinner, played mini-golf, picked up books at the library, and then went back to my place and I learned a fun new game that is a lot like Phase 10. It was good to just laugh and enjoy ourselves together! Yay for good people!
Monday Andy came over and we looked through some old Australia pics. I bought some nice leather photo albums this past weekend and I was going to hang out with Andy, remember what/when things happened, and then put them in the album. Turns out, I'm more meticulous than I thought and the rolls of film were labeled, many pics were annotated on the back, and I had already created 2 photo albums of pictures. I guess I am better at life than I had previously thought!
Sunday I went shopping at CostCo with Melissa, and that was good. Something about cheap hot dogs, lots of cool stuff and hanging out that just makes a Sunday Afternoon fun.
Tomorrow: cooking breakfast at the shelter, work during the day, choir, and then perhaps out with David. We'll see! Should be a good week of productivity!
