I saw Donny Darko at the Botanic Gardens yesterday with Emma...who no one knows yet.
And I want to admit to everyone that I dont really understand the point of the movie. I dont get it. It seems that if the Rabbit didnt lead him out of the house in the first place then he would have just died the first time round, instead of having to lead him all around in a big time travelling insane circle just to have happen what should have happened to start with.
And so in the end he dies and no one will learn that the Self Help Fear/Love guy is really into kiddy porn.
If the rabbit let him out of the house when he was supposed to die, but was to then vanish, then Darko would have survived and the other people wouldn't have died because he wouldnt have gone out of the house worrying about the rabbit guy.
And if he had to stop the rabbit from ending the world, then why did the rabbit bother telling him in the first place. The guy ended up dying and in the big scheme of things didnt really make too much difference, coz its only because of the rabbit that the girl died.
And yet because the psychiatrist only gave him fake pills, then he probably wasnt schitzerphrenic.
So what the hell does it all mean...
