Life watcher

Sitting there last night, talking and reminiscing about child hood, I got a little bumbled. I can’t change how my child hood was. I actually had a good child hood despite being somewhat poor and lacking close friends. But one thing I stated to think about, our of the loneliest that is out of my life, that sometimes contest today, I have been come a people or life watcher.

What brought me to this thought, was speaking about books that have been read back I the day. A lot of my kid reading were biographies, historical events and politics, lots of politics.
Up to this day I still love biographies. I like to know the person behind the story. I love doing this with people that I admire. I read all I could about MLK, Malcolm X, George washing on, Jefferson, Bill Clinton, Michael Jordan, Chris Rock, and so. I think the greatest TV show of all time was Biography. Some times the media will sell us story of people that are not that important (see post about Anna Nicole), but truly the good, important people, some times have interesting stories.

But beyond the famous, as I grew up I fell in love with people that were closer to me in life. I like people, for the most part. I like to know them, where they are from, what they do for work, and such. I see friends or even a person that you meet with for few moments; you can learn something from the interaction. Sometimes positive, some times negative, but no matter the inter action you can learn something.

To many times, we get caught up in our own selfish interested. We never take the time, to find about each other. We are often more into looking or the girl that will lay us. Getting the groceries and getting the hell out of the grocery store, with out even thanking the person at the counter. We don’t talk. We don’t know each other sometime. I often think what a better world would it be if we took the time and talked to each other or even a stranger. We don’t have to have a prolonged conversation, but even just a hi.

I guess the advice or meandering of this rant, is to take time, observe life and don’t be afraid to ask or wonder about a friend or even a stranger. Or if you don’t feel comfortable with that, take some time to research or read about some one you admire. Don’t be afraid to ask a friend or lover a question you or learn something you did not know. You may be happy or surprised in what you may find. Happy chatting or happy reading.
