Cock in A Sock And A Slew Of Other Updates
So all of those fantastic new updates have officially taken effect. Now when you visit my glorious website you will be assaulted with a pop up trying to convince you to join a mailing list for my senior thesis/exhibition "To The Teeth". I actually "borrowed" the html for the pop up from APSU's website... wow.. I actually got something from them after all! :P Also, in the photo gallery there are several lovely new images in the 2004 section featuring Robb, Wesley and Caitlin to name a few. Oh! and the first picture in the 2005 section is my cock in a sock. Yes boys and girls, you heard right. I think I'll title that image "love wrapped in a warm embrace." It's funny because the phallus can be interpreted as the symbol of love, but the little heart tattoo also serves to further convey the essence of the image... blah!
On a more personal not, the year 2004 has come and gone and it seems appropriate that I should make allowances in this space to reflect upon the events that have past and note the direction of the future. In the past year I managed to fall in love, fall out of love, see Marilyn Manson live in Philadelphia (an ambition I've had since high school), see the Genitorturers in Nashville, visited Chicago, did a little dating and most importantly I feel I have really come to terms with my work (well at least to a large extent) also, I've really managed to let go of a lot of the built up energies that have been repressing me and keeping me from being totally free for a long time (I know what you're thinking, maybe he should have kept a little bit of that repression.. maybe it would have saved us the agony of the cock'n'sock picture..) What it all comes down to is 2004 was a "pretty good year."
As for 2005, I foresee a year of change and fast paced growth. To start with I have 3 weddings I will be attending, a noteworthy perk associated with that is that I will be getting a suit. I'm not totally sure why that's such a big deal, but I'm pretty excited about that prospect. As mentioned before I will also be having my senior thesis/exhibition which is essentially the culmination of my undergraduate art career (and I expect every person who reads this to be there) and then soon after I will be graduating! Then I will have a couple months where I may do some traveling.. maybe not.. but in August I will be starting graduate school. Oh, and I won't know what schools I'm accepted into until approximately mid to late March so there's this whole waiting element there. I am also currently waiting to see If I will be awarded an undergraduate fellowship and if I placed in a recent photography competition that I entered. Yeah, and then there's the student art show. So what does this all mean? Good Times.
