On Thursday, I was approached on the street by someone who was holding a clipboard. She asked "Do you have a second for Greenpeace?" I guess she had already been rejected a few times. I didn't respond, though. I just kept walking down third avenue.
From this I would assume that what I was telling her was "No, I do not have a second for Greenpeace." But this is untrue. I probably had three, four, even five seconds for Greenpeace then.
But certainly not enough time to listen to her talk about it and sign my name on a piece of paper.
