i know what you mean. there was a guy a couple of months back that literally stood and yelled at people who didn't give him money on the train. this white hippie-looking guy who would try to make people feel bad that they didn't give to him and that they were terribly selfish people who didn't understand his trouble. he asked me for change and after seeing how he acted with everyone else, i didn't think he deserved it so i said "sorry, no". then he proceeded to ask me if the shoes i had on were leather or something and i just didn't respond (by the way, 20 dollar shoes from 125th street)...then he called me cheap and spoiled and selfish and all of that stuff and like you, i felt the same way. just wanted to get up and yell in his face "LOOK, you're a fucking white kid who looks like you just got back from a string cheese show and in this city where millions suffer more than you do, what the FUCK does this world owe YOU?" and like you i felt tense for a long time after i got off the train regretting not saying or doing anything. luckily some guys came over to him and said "hey, buddy...you can't yell and blame people if they don't want to give you money!" it was just ridiculous. sorry if this is long. i don't know why it just kept going on.
