Christmas memories

I was just thinking about Christmas, and how it use to be so different. When we were kids we use to be so excited about Christmas and waking up to see what Santa brought for us. It is kind of funny when you think about how gullible we were as children...to think that we really believed that Santa existed and would deliver toys in the night without anyone hearing. It was always so fun to wake up and see what we got (except when my sis....older sis that is.....use to wake me up at like 4am so we could see what Santa brought). It was fun decorating the tree as a family and putting up all the UGLY ornaments we made in school...now schools do not do the "christmas" thing...which I can understand with so many non-Christian religions out there, it is just so different. I put up a real tree in our house for the second year now...though this year, we won't be home from Christmas...hopefully next year we can enjoy our own Christmas celebrations...it is still kind of weird to wake up on Christmas morning and not be at my parents house. It was that way for about 22-23 yrs...I wish I still had the christmas spirit that children have...the anticipation and excitement of what the day would bring..now it is just hectic...we will be traveling on Christmas Day (4.5 hrs) from Michigan to IL to do Christmas with my family...ahhh to be a kid again...

FUNNY FACT: Did you know that if you mix the letters up in SANTA, it can spell SATAN...I accidentally mistyped and spelled satan.
