For the record, last season we were no. 2 and Anahiem was no. 7.
We've got the same problem as we had last year against the Ducks.
No traffic in front of the net. Put Steve Thomas back in the lineup and make sure that he, Holmstrom or Steve Yzerman (because they're the only ones on this team that are will to crash the net) in front of Vokoun.
CRASH THE NET?!?!?!?balder1718April 14 2004, 13:53:06 UTC
We've got a problem with people crashing the net. We had four minutes of penalties in just last night's game due to the fact that Holmstrom is a little TOO good at interfering with Vokoun. Just like all of our games with Nashville this season, the referees are cracking down too strong on stupid penalties. We can't afford the type of playing style that allows them to do what they've been doing.

Well. We're having problems with our PP too. My solution? First, get Boyd Fuckereaux out of the GD line-up. Don't put Thomas back in just yet, either. Put Jason Wooley in and dress Dandy as a winger. More importantly, we have 2 players that stand and 6 foot 5, one's a 226 pounder. The other weighs in at a meager 235. Stand THEM in front of the net. ON the power play.
On the first line, I have Stevie playing a defensive role...he's good in the high-slot anyway, and he can get back and help if there are any problems. Schneider at point and Lang & Shanny down low.
2nd line: Lidstrom at point, Chelios in the high-slot, Datsyuk & Hull down low.
