I feel like updating (Steff is probably jumping for joy).

Where do I begin?  Let's start with a recap of classes/activites this semester.   Same thing as last time.

Music 48 (Music History) - I loved Krasner.  I would love to take another class with her for music history next year because she is really awesome.  Only thing I couldn't stand was the massive amounts of papers and how much she wanted for each one.  Hell I was scared about the last two papers (Concert Report, iconology report) and the second test, and the final for that matter.  But once I got the grades back I was pretty happy.  I'm just dying for this final grade.

Music 69 (Music Theory) - Easy.  Class is over, I loved Berardinelli, and I wish I could have her again :(.

Music 61 (Eartraining) - Behrens is a bitch after the sight-singing part of the final.  End of Story.  I want my grade in this.

Music 34 (Brass) - So I finished the trumpet and did well on it, and I did the trombone and I did OK...hopefully the one question I messed up on won't be that bad on my grade.

English 001 (Eng Composition) - I loved O'Leary.  I did well with her and my writing has improved....I'll have her again next semester.  (AND SHE'S PREGNANT!)

History 14F (Boogeymans, Bitches & Bastards) - Yup so I wrote my fourth paper on the word fuck.  The class is over...can't stand it any more.  This class was way too much work and he was way too tough a grader.

Music 25 (Chorale) - Our concert was at the Garden City Cathedral of Incarnation.  It was awesome.  Then it ended :(.  Oh well, 7 more semesters left of it :)

Music 20 - BREAKDOWN:
  • Chamber Singers - It was really cool.  Also part of the concert at the Garden City Cathedral.  We also got to perform at Carnegie Hall!!!!!  That was really awesome.
  • Opera Theater - So I did the performance of Cosi fan Tutte by Mozart, and then the director asked me to understudy Bartolo in Le Nozze de Figaro, the full opera in February which made me really happy!!!!
  • Solos, Duos, and Trios - Dropped out of this...I couldn't handle it.
  • Lab Choir - Katie and Sarah are amazing.  End.

That's about it for Music 20.

Music 003 (Voice Lessons) - Yea so my one hour lesson a week was broken down into 45 minutes of warm up and technique and 15 minutes repetoire.  Not cool.  I'm switched for next semester though.
Hillel - We had a family shabbat dinner which my family came and they liked.  Ninguna'cappella (Jewish a cappella group) debuted, it was cool.

SGA - I love everyone in SGA.  I love going to the games with everyone and in general hanging out with them.  Period, done.

Drastic Measures - We are really picking up.  GO visit our website that I made http://drasticmeasures.awardspace.com .  It's a really cool site.

MENC - Lots of fun, tons of people who all love music and can't wait to teach!  I am the Freshman Advocate for 2006-2007.  It's going to be awesome.  I love everyone in it.

BTW, Class of 20 TEN absolutely rocks.  There's like a ton of us in SGA who are really active, and we are HUGE in the music department.  This is really going to be an awesome 4 years.

I will take this moment to publically acknowledge the awesomeness of Katie T.  It has been long awaited.  Here it is.  :)

So.....Chanukah this year I got a full size, weighted Yamaha P140 keyboard.  It is awesome.  I need to figure out how to play something on there and transfer it to the computer as a MIDI file...This is a work in progress.  Anyone know how?

So i got a job.  I started November 30th, I am a Bass 2 in the Garden City Cathedral of Incarnation.  It's an episcopal church, done very much in the style of the Old Anglican church.  It's fun, the people are nice, and I am being exposed to a lot of new repetoire.

So yea, I'm trying to think of other things.  Thanksgiving break at home was...interesting.

Now we're on winter break and christmas is over today, so I'm trying to find this fondue place so we can go chocolate fondue-ing?

Well that's as good an update for now..  Next update I'll talk about next semester and more.
