THE JSASANR CONTEST!
Actually, it is two contests in one!
PRIZES GALORE INCLUDING CASH MONEY!
So spread the news, but pay attention closely to the rules!
You ready?
First Contest: Date Feb 28th until Aug 28th.
(Yes, staff can enter both contests as well as anyone can.)
This is an accumulative effort to gain prizes on Livejournal, Ebay or Paypal.
I am looking for major PR (Public Relations) and promotion for this little magazine on LJ. So, for those who agree to advertise and bring in "friends" or readers, you get "coutesy cash" per counted head!
Rules:
1. You must first EMAIL OR COMMENT HERE to notify me that you are in the contest.
2. I MUST have your email addess for future prizes and winnings.
3. You can request ads and banners from me and link them on websites, bloggers, your livejournal or any community you think you would like to use.
4. Please tell EVERY PERSON YOU PERSONALLY ASK TO JOIN to comment and LEAVE YOUR NAME or you CANNOT get credit for the people you ask and get to join.
Once they have friended/joined and commented with YOUR NAME, that counts as a dollar in courtesy cash.
Cash prizes go like this: After every monthly issue (30 days) you will have a posted running total. 25 joins can be 25 spent on eBay, Livejournal, or Amazon.com. 25 is the lowest total you can have to redeem your courtesy cash.
You cannot redeem until a 30-day calander mark from one issue to another has passed. If you recieve more than 100 counted courtesy cash before a 6 month period, you may NOT recieve cash payment, only online credit at one of the sites listed. For any spendable amount gained, you are responsible for overages, sales tax, shipping and handling fees or currency exchange rate changes (ie: on a foreign eBay bid).
The courtesy cash exchange rates:
*25 people = $25 on ebay, LJ, or Amazon after one month (March 28th).
*50 people = $50 on ebay, LJ, or Amazon after three months (May 28th).
*70 people = $70 on ebay or Amazon after three months (May 28th).
*100+ people = ebay, amazon, or after a 6 month waiting period (Aug. 28th), a Paypal or Bidpay money transfer.
This means, if you recieve 100 friends/joins before Aug. 28th, you may not cash out your courtesy cash unless it is for online purchases. After 6 months, you may cash out ALL your courtesy Cash as money through Paypal or Bidpay (Bidpay fees for sending money orders are your own responsibility and will not be free but will most likely come out of your winnings).
After the first 6 month period all totals will be WIPED and participants must start over again.
Second Contest: Date Feb 28th until Mar. 28th
This is also a "per head" contest, but it really is to find great talent for our new magazine.
I need people to start posting that -1- writers, -2- graphics (for ads and banners) designers, -3- web page designers, and -4- people that would like a job being PR exclusively for JSASANR to start coming in.
There is NO LIMIT to what a staff member or possible staff member can CREATE!
So here is the money hitch. You find talented people and tell them a new OL magazine is starting up and it NEEDS HELP! It will be the staff who shape and design what this magazine means to them. I need applicants and I need representation so the bribe, ... er... contest is this:
Each NEW person from the one of 4 jobs listed that YOU send my way, I will not only make you honorary staff, but add up a running tally of applicants. Four successful applications from all FOUR jobs listed gets you $20. You cannot do more than one applicant for one job until you have sent a different jobs' applicant my way!!!!
PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING!
I need to know that people aren't overlapping, that our staff doesn't number like a Greenpeace rally and that we don't have floating web banners out there!
REMEBER THAT APPLICANTS MUST MENTION YOU FOR YOU TO BE CREDITED!
This is the official tally list (so far)
*Four apps for four jobs = $20.
*Three apps for Three = $10.
*Two apps for two = $5
*One app for one = $2
*Web hosting for a new site (this requires a designer, too) = $10.00
(plus I will pay for the sites annual charge)
*Webring advertising = $2 per ring. Anipike is a given.
*A personal messageboard and/or guestbook for staff = $5 each.
(please ask about this first. I only need one of each)
*Advertise on your LJ permanently = $2 per mini-banner link.
*Help to redesign THIS LJ site itself = $5 with additional kudos for personal designs and banners, etc.
*Advertise on you AOL profile = $1
*An advertisment on a college website = $2 each
(If someone can help design a advertisement, I am willing to pay for advert space)
*Advertise in local campus MAGAZINE = $10 plus I will pay for a well designed ad!!
Applicants for personal assistants that will help me organize this mess = $5 with refferrals AND an essay about why they want to do my dirty work.
***You may accumulate these cash points and spend them using the scale for the first contest.***
Other "special" tasks will be rewarded and tallied until the end of next month. By then, I want this to all be cemented as well as possibly can be.
-I want a new website linking our old ones with new staff bios and guestbook.
-I want a personal JSASANR STAFF comment board so we can draft and work out each issue OFF livejournal.
-I want new graphic awards to awards sites and other OL partners, even awards from us to livejournal readers.
-I want a shared FTP site and a web domain that I am willing to pay for.
-I want staff members willing to put all their artistic efforts into this magazine to make it something to talk about. Staff should be willing to work on each issue for at least three days out of each month.
-I want at least 500 members/joins by August, but my goal is set much higher.
-I want to advertise and cross advertise so that we become more professional, less ...Sailor Moonish.
All notable and credited efforts WILL be recorded as long as you have okayed and notified me of your participation FIRST!
