I had my thirteenth dressage lesson today. It was also my thirteenth horse-riding lesson. It was also my thirteenth time on a horse.
Now, I've got nothing to go by, so maybe I'm way behind the normal slob who's on horseback for their thirteenth time. Fair enough, right? Cool. So please accept the fact that I am very, very humble about my riding when I say that I cannot believe what I'm seeing when I watch the following video. Please, watch the whole thing if you're interested; however, for the bit I just cannot believe, jump to a couple seconds before the one-minute mark and watch. My instructor will tell me to ask Max (The Wonder-Horse) to stop, and Max doesn't go to a dead stop on a dime, but when you consider my reaction time to the instruction, Max responds quite well - BUT I swear that I almost cannot see me doing anything to ask him to stop! I can't get over it! I'm just so bloody gobsmacked.

And here you will see nearly six minutes of me riding Max in a trot:

There are four more vids of my ride today if you take the vids to youtube.
If you know anything about riding and can comment, I'd love to hear your comments. ^_^
Thanks for reading!
