Gold:

The sun was settling, dazzling colors of orange and red painting the sky a picture of sweet perfection. As the rays of the sun fell into the small cave, it sparkled off the small piles of gold that kept residence there, making the whole room dance with a beautiful, yellow light.

"So, this is where you keep your treasure." Elizabeth mused, looking around interestedly before she knelt down, picking up a string of white pearls with a slight smile before she held it up to her neck, bending her head to look at it.

"Only some of it." Jack corrected with a grin, his eyes roaming over her face, watching in interest as she reached back to clasp the necklace around her neck. The white of the pearls and the soft creme of her exposed skin made him flex his fingers before he curled them into fists and stuffed them into the pockets of his coat. He couldn't help but see her, laying naked on his bunk, with only the pearls to grace her beautiful body. "Most of it gets spent away as fast as we get it, wasted on things like drinks and pleasurable company in Tortuga and others ports like 'er." He shrugged, dark eyes sweeping over the small area of the cave, mostly an excuse to get his eyes off her before he reached for her and took her right there, right over the few crates that were settled, innocently, in the corner.

"So you save just a little bit of your riches so that you'd have something later on, if pillaging was scarce for a time?"

Jack shrugged. "Rather, it's nice to know that we'll never be completely broke, that we have a bit of treasure stashed away if the time comes where we need to use it because we're unable to borrow something or, as you said, pillage." She smiled at him and nodded, then went to rid of the jewelry that she'd put on. He noticed this and stepped forward, reaching out to stay her hand. Elizabeth met his eyes, a little surprised. "Keep it." he murmured to her, his fingers trailing from the back of her neck to her collarbone, his thumb gently rubbing along it. Fire lept across her skin, licking at her, fueling the desire she felt for him. Moving her hand to his chest, she curled her hand into his coat, then pulled him out into the dying sunlight. His eyes glowed, and for a moment they were the brightest she'd ever seen, a hunger burning bright and drawing her in.

Wrapping one arm around her waist, he pulled her close until they were nose to nose, then bent his head to brush his lips against hers.

She pulled back, forcing away a smile that threatened to appear at the look of confusion on his face.

"Back to the Pearl." she whispered to him, then moved past him towards the trees. There was no path, so therefore it was harder to find the cave. They'd spent at least an hour and a half looking for it...

Jack quickly caught up with her, shooting her a teasing glare before he held out his hand, fingers wiggling. She smiled and took it, lacing her fingers with his, drifting closer to him when he tugged a little.

"And what shall we do back on the Pearl, I wonder." he mused after a few moments. Elizabeth laughed and met his eyes, simply shaking her head before she quickened her pace, maneuvering around the trees. He followed, pouting though amused, knowing that he'd get what he wanted anyways.

He already had it. After all, not all treasure is silver and gold.
