So, what have I been up to?
I've been reading a lot lately. One of the managers at work suggested to me that I try out the author Lee Child, so I did. I'm in the middle of the second Jack Reacher novel (Die Trying) now, and they're great. Also have started reading Stephen King's latest, Duma Key. I'm enjoying that.
Late last year I started collecting the men's adventure series The Executioner. Elizabeth and I go thrift store shopping every other weekend usually, and we sometimes go to the occasional used bookstore, so it's been fun trying to find one's I don't have. I've got a lot I still need to find, but I do have the first 6 in the series, so I've started to read them as well.
And a few weeks back I found a collection of The Chronicles of Narnia hardcovers that were published back in the '50s, and I've started to re-read The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe.
Movie-wise, I've seen a few.
A group of us went and saw Cloverfield the opening weekend. It was good overall. Some of our group did get motion sickness.
Elizabeth and I went and saw Meet The Spartans a few weekends back. We both enjoyed it for what it was worth.
Also have seen National Treasure 2 and Rambo at the theaters since the beginning of the year. Went and saw Rambo with Wes a few weekends ago.
DVD-wise, I watched Lilo & Stitch for the first time, which a great movie. Very surprised I hadn't seen it before now. Also rewatched Ghostbusters for the ump-illionth time. Elizabeth and I watched Robin Hood: Men in Tights last weekend. And when I was home sick on Thursday, I watched The Sting for the first time. Holy crap, how have I never seen that film before? It was an amazing film, and I love Robert Redford. I've put my Netflix account on temporary suspension, but once I have it back, I think I'm going to use it for seeing more classic movies and the like.
Work is good. IPT now consists of Dave, Rocky, and myself. And for the most part, we're a great team with Zinder as our supervisor. I like the teamwork that we have, and we all have our own weekly priorities to take care off before the end of the week, besides the normal workload.
Dave is on his way over to chill; not sure what we're going to watch, but I'm thinking he's bringing his King of Kong DVD for me to borrow. We might end up watching that, if he wants to see it again.
