You can neuter your dog at any time.tvdogsJuly 27 2010, 18:30:37 UTC
But the sooner the better. You have some raging hormones to deal with and neutering will help solve this. As long as your dog is healthy... it's okay. Best is neutering at 6 months to avoid a lot what your going through. In our family we neutered some boys later in case they had stud potential. All benefited for it.
Get this book. It saved me countless times when dealing with aggression and how to train with lots of tips. "Leader of the Pack" by Steve Duno. Teaches you how to deal with a dominate and aggressive dog...with simply methods using food, toys, bed and leash.
Second... get some obedience training. Group lessons. So you can learn by watching others mistakes and see how to correct your own. It's fun and you bond with your dog. And you might makes some new friends.
Visit your breeder for free lessons. A good breeder is always willing to help.

Thank you so much for the suggestion, I will definitely look into getting that book because I am desperate for some guidance for training, as well as contacting a trainer!
Also I love the dogs in your icon! So cute. I love JRTs and I'm determined to train and raise mine so that he is happy and we have a healthy relationship.

I give it to all my new Jack Russell friends.
