In need of advice...
Yesterday while walking my JRT, a stray (very small, about 10 pounds) JRT appeared out of no where. No collar or anything. He seemed to have took to my dog, and was following us until I picked him up and carried him back to my house. He is covered in fleas, I've given him two baths, his ears were filthy, nails uncut, teeth rough, so it doesn't appear that he has had a home for some time now, but he is completely house broken. He also eats very little.
My intentions were to keep the stray, take him to the vet and get him all checked out first thing when the vet opens tomorrow. Thing is, now he is showing signs of aggression (he isn't neutered, which is something I plan on changing) that he wasn't showing at first. He'll growl and snap at my dog if he gets near him when he has a toy, or sometimes even if either my husband or I are giving him attention. I'm now thinking it may be best if I took him to the local (no kill) SPCA tomorrow. Any advice would be great.
