Routine checkup/vaccine gone bad.....
My cat Spanky is a psycho at the vet. No one in the area will see him, so I take him to Dr Kim because he is able to handle him.
I normally sedate him w/ACE. I told mom to be certain his tablets had not expired. She said they had not.
Friday (the day of our appointment) she shows up w/him and tells me the pills did expire and he is unsedated.....wonderful.
Dr Kim says...no worries, he will sedate him there if he needs to.
Well go thing he didnt have anything before hand....
Mom had mentioned that Spanky has been peeing outside his basement litter box (only that box) and during the week his urine was rusty colored. She got a sample that am (very little) and it had returned to normal.
That was it...Dr kim put him out (well..almost out) to ultra sound him.
Sadly, his ultra sound shows that he has one oddly shapped kideny, which seems to be infiltrateed by something...and his other kidney is 1/2 the size it should be.
Dr Kim took blood, urine and ultra sounded the rest of the organs, which were normal.
We are waiting on results, but expect Kidney Disease or Cancer...more so kidney disease.
I dont get it.....he is 100% healthy otherwise and had mom not noticed his peeing outside of one of his boxes we would have never known this.
Anyway...think good thoughts for my Spanky. I found him in RI when he was a kitten. He was sitting on my door step as I pulled in the driveway....2months later we were kicked out and sent home....I traveled home broken hearted and crying w/one screaming cat and 2 ferrets and me crying for 3hrs :O(
After my Puder passed (my other cat that lived with mom)...and I went away and mom and dad baby sat spanky for me....when I returned they asked if he could stay.
He was much happier w/them...they had a big house, sun porch, basement and were always home...and spanky had seperation anxiety bad.
So off to mom and dad's he went and has been for several years...they love him dearly and mom and dad are very upset....
Lets hope he still has at least 25% use of his kidneys and he is one of the cats that does well w/diet change and meds.... and hopefully when tests are back it is not anything worse...

So far I have been able to keep up and follow Algebra well...until today..
my prof taught a topic I know well...but did it different than the text or the tutor...she got me so confused I was lost....couldnt even go back to my old way...have spent all night trying to pull it together...and she was having a tude that I had taught myself and worked w/a tutor before hand....
She is teaching the stuff harder than it has to be....but if u deviate from her way u get lost...I am worried about that too now. EVery student in my class has failed the class more than once...it seems to be kean's money maker class at 6credits a pop and students taking it 2 or more times.....cha-ching!
