My Kindle is officially my New Favorite Thing. The only problem I have is that I have too many options. I'm in the middle of FOUR books right now.
The Shinning The Shining (not creepy yet!),
Seriously...I'm Kidding (pithy and substance-free),
The Secret Life of Hoarders (I was expecting case studies more than advice-with-examples), and
Game Change. I get antsy and find a different book.
An
HBO movie of part of Game Change just premiered, so I'm trying to finish the book quickly so I can watch that. The book details basically everything in the '08 presidential election from the primaries on, but the movie only focuses on the Sarah Palin portion of it. I just started Part 3 of the book, and Mrs. Palin's name has yet to be mentioned. Young
Danny Strong (perhaps you've heard of him?) has said he'd totally want to make another movie about the Clintons/Obama portion of the election, and hell, the
Edwardses should already be a Lifetime movie.
Sooo I'm reading that every spare moment I have.
Also, oh, I got a tattoo. You all know I already have one (um, maybe you do?) It looks like this:
Which is on my ankle. (lol stereotype) It doesn't really "mean" anything to me, other than I was 20 and had my first job that wasn't at a gas station, and wanted to celebrate that. Also, it's cute.
So then I got another one on Saturday.
On my inner wrist. (OW OW OWWWWWWIE OW) Which is still a little scabby, and in honor of my kitteh. She died almost six months ago (September 16) and I wanted a commemoration of that. Various responses have been "Is that a dog print?" (No because I would NEVER GET THAT) "That's dramatic." (From Sister #2) and "Yeah, until it rubs off." (From TWO people at work, who apparently don't feel like I'm a person who would get a tattoo?)
It was definitely an impulse, but it hit me like lightning when I decided on it. I'm hoping the border is a little more defined when it's healed. I can always touch it up, of course, but see above re: OW OW OWWWWWWIE OW.
(Pictures taken for the purpose of this post, hence the lack of lighting.)
