"These...are not the hammer."

A co-worker is having a jewelry party tomorrow. It'll be done at 8:30; I get off work at 9:15. I was pouting at her that I wanted to goooo. She said she can ask the party host if she can stay late so I can see the goods. I then confessed that I really just want to visit her kittens. *shamed*

I've started watching Breaking Bad. (YES I went back and bought the DVDs.) I may or may not have watched the first six episodes yesterday. I only started at 8pm (allegedly) so I didn't get to watch the season finale, as it was like, 2am when I purportedly finished the second disc. Only 7 eps in the first season due to the writer's strike. Glad I have S2 waiting for me after I've, according to witnesses, finished the season.

I had a really good Comic-Con, as long as I don't think about the long-ass B20 line I spent Thursday and Friday in. I got into the panels I wanted: Dexter, True Blood, (see above re: long-ass line) Community, Joss Whedon, the Dr. Horrible screening, (which Felicia Day showed up at briefly) and the OMWF screening (which Nicky Brendon showed up at briefly!). I also attended a very interesting "Fan Favorites" panel hosted by TV Guide before Dexter. It had Nelsan Ellis, Kristen Bauer, Johnny Galecki, Jorge Garcia, Nestor Carbonell, Zachary Levi, Leslie Hope, Kevin Williamson, some other showrunner, and Matt Smith, who is British and Whovian and delightful. So that was neat-o.

The highlight--other than the panels--was Sunday, when the Browncoats had a drawing for an autograph from and picture with one Mister Nathan Fillion. There were 50 winning tickets, and I was one of the lucky ones!

The Browncoat organizer said that the Cap'n is well-versed (yes, I amuse myself, thank you) at the self-portrait. We took one picture, it didn't come out, so we took another one. I didn't realize until I uploaded the folder yesterday that the first photo actually did take, he'd just taken another picture accidentally and that was the one we were looking at. So I have an extra, inadvertent Fillion foto. WIN. (Also, hello new FB profile pic.)

Of course, I didn't have anything for him to sign, so I bought a Dr. Horrible scriptbook. (I actually had one at home already, but it got waterlogged the first day I had it, so I needed to buy another one anyway.) The Guild was also doing signings on Sunday (for cashy money, though) so I got my book signed by both Felicia and Nathan. (Also haven't taken a photo of that yet, bah.) Now, to machinate a meeting with NPH...
