*insert frustrated noise here*

I had to buy a new TiVo exactly a month ago. The new TiVos do not have a phone jack on the system (which is what I was using on my old DT S2), it's either an ethernet connection or a wireless set-up. Or buy a 30$ USB dongle (tee hee) to set up a phone connection.

I instead bought a router so I could have TiVo and my computer plugged in at the same time, but my TiVo wouldn't recognize it, so I've just been moving the modem cord from the router to the TiVo when I'm not using the computer.

Last night, my internet connection cut out. My modem had restarted. I unplugged it and went to bed.

I then attempted to reconnect everything this morning. Miracle of miracles, TiVo now acknowledges it's connected to the router. HOWEVER, now my computer refuses to connect to the internet! WTFFFFFF. I've even reset everything to hopefully reconnect my computer, which should have knocked the TiVo off its connection, but that's still in place.

I'm presently "borrowing" a wireless connection. God bless you, neighbor.

IDK. I've held off going wireless myself, but maybe I should suck it up. I'm already getting pleasantly used to the wireless computer...I don't have to watch where I'm putting my leg, in case I hook into where the ethernet cord would be.

I'm also having TiVo trouble. Not with the box, that's all love, baby. But I've called in twice to cancel my S2, and it still shows on my account on tivo.com. I emailed the address that the TiVo Twitter account gives out late Monday/early Tuesday and haven't heard anything yet.

I also called in to work today. I was dizzy whilst getting dressed, had a horrible hack, and didn't even see how I'd be able to handle de-snowing my car. Soooo, that was weird.

financially prudent (ha ha ha), tv, blah blah blah, /whine
