My Amazon delivery of the season 1 DVDs was scheduled for today. I woke up early to confirm this on Amazon's website. I loitered at home as long as I could, but had to leave for work a half hour earlier than normal. I was extra bummed, because I would not be able to pick it up tomorrow at the post office, either, due to working from seven sharp until upside-down Spanish question mark. (Oddly enough, that actually is my shift tomorrow.) So I could practically see myself on Sunday, watching TiVo and going GOD I WISH I HAD SOME SHINY NEW DVDS TO WATCH.
As I was headed for my car, I saw a mail truck across the street. I put my umbrella and lunchbox in my car and waited for the mailman femaleman female carrier to leave that apartment building. She was headed for another building so I got her attention and then said I had an Amazon delivery in her truck if I can please have it please please please, I live over there, please. She said she didn't think she had any Amazon deliveries in her truck for my building, I said the tracking said it was in her truck! She checked and there it was. She asked for my ID, which is why I'd brought my purse and then SHE GAVE ME MY COMMUNITY DVDS YAYYYYYYYYY. I thanked her profusely and drove off, totally making it to work on time.
