Watching an Intervention rerun, and I'm very glad I finished my dinner before starting, because it's a dual-focus episode, and one subject is a bulimic. The first time she purged into the toilet, she pretty much threw up right into the superimposed text inserted by the network: 2009 EMMY NOMINEE A&E. I enjoyed that. Also, this Black Screen of Exposition just blew me away:In her first month at the sorority, Jessie ate six weeks worth of food intended to feed 70 girls.
She was kicked out and moved back home.
I've seen most Intervention episodes, and very moments few make my eyes bug out like that black screen did.
Did I mention that I signed up for a month of Netflix? It was actually a free month, I got on a class action somehow, and it expired the day I signed up for it.
I have...um, more DVDs than I need right now, so I listed Sister #2's address and added all the Buffy discs to the queue. She was trying to borrow my DVDs, and I couldn't have that.
As a bonus, I can use the Netflix streaming video, which is new since I was last a member, in fall 2004. I've added Paper Clips, Born into Brothels, and, to complete the trio, Mr. Warmth, which I belatedly learned is available on Hulu too. Whoops. Apparently I'm into docs right now. Stupid MSNBC, making me care about real things.
Speaking of ice cream (did I mention I watched Jessie eat a half gallon of Edy's? No?), I stocked up on Americone Dream today. Target had B&J for $2.50 apiece, and I've never seen a price that low. The sale ended today. That's the only thing I bought there, too, heh. I felt the need to tell the cashier that I hadn't just been dumped, I was just getting in on the deal.
