Okay, I'm not even halfway through Poisoning the Well, but I've just got to say this--the writer's of Stagate: Atlantis are on HUGE amounts of geek!crack. Hoth. Hoth. They're on planet Hoth. And John and Rodney dropped in a Star Trek reference. God, this show is so geeky...
Edit: And oi, I am so stupid. Dr. McKay. Dr. McCoy. The geekiness just doesn't stop. I think I'm in love...
Edit numero deux: Though McKay has more in common with Spock, of course. Especially if Sheppard is Kirk and if Spock and Kirk are shagging. (Being much more of a Next Gen fan, I've never noticed this but who am I to nay-say so many fans. If the subtext is there, the subtext is there. Frankly, of ST:OS, I always preferred Scotty--those rolling R's. Hmm.... ^___^)
