mishap at the airport
my ma and bro landed here in the afternoon. my dad and i had gone to terminal 2 to pick them out. but as always...there has to be some DRAMA!
since jonathan was on visit visa...he had to go through that whole eye scan procedure. so to save time...he told my ma to go to immigration and then wait for him in the queue till he was done with the scan.
i think my ma either misunderstood or she was just excited to meet papa and i. not only did she go through immigration...she picked up the suitcases, got a few sweets from duty free and then met us at the greeters area. [:S]. i had asked her if she had picked up all their stuff from the conveyor belt. she said yes...and then she was goin on saying how the trip back home was...
so there we were...waiitng for my bro to show up...and by chance i happened to look at the suitcases's tags. the other two baggage had my bro's name on it. but the delsey blue suitcase had some other guy's name on it. [!!!!:S!!!!] i don't remember the name though but it did seem like a hindu name! i pointed out to my dad about it...and immediately called my brother on his cell and informed him about the mistake. meanwhile this lady walks out with a similar suitcase. i checked it out..that wasn't ours either. so three people have the suitcase eh? must be some popular model!
then my ma went back inside with the wrong suitcase. after a lot of hullaballoo and yelling from the owner of that suitcase...we got ours back from the counter. i don't blame him because he must have been waiting since ages for his suitcase to show up.
now i wonder..if i hadn't spotted the name of the tag..probably we would have never got our suitcase back. i can even imagine the scene..trying to open the suitcase..seeing that the number lock aint working. discovering that its the wrong suitcase. the panic! the confusion! the frustration! thank God none of that happened
so moral of the post is: make sure that the baggage you pull from the conveyor belt is actually YOURS...else you would be called chor! chor! [theif]
...and if you travel in a group..make sure you get out of the airport as a group! this is to prevent mishaps from these from occuring
