Aw. I love the image of them curled up on the couch together.

And Neal's line that Peter has yet to prove that he's not the center of his world :)

Thanks Daria! I'm pretty convinced that Neal is the center of Peter's universe. ;)

I'm so happy to see you have another story up. Very cool to have a tag from the episode By the Book. I think this story worked well both in connection to that episode, and following in line with the other stories in your My Old Man series ( ... )

Thanks so much, Jet!

By the Book was a wonderful ep: I loved the look Peter gave to Neal when he was hiding in the humidor . . . and I loved the partial lecture he treated Neal (and Mozzie!) to back at the Bureau.

But I'm with you--I loved how Neal seemed to grow up in this ep, by realizing how frantic with worry Peter must have been and by realizing how many dinners with Elizabeth he had caused Peter to miss.

I'll be honest--I was hoping this ep might inspire you too . . . (no pressure, lol!)

Totally agree on that look Peter gave Neal; and the look Neal gave Peter back (and it had to be Diana that "escorted" Neal out...I'm sure Peter didn't trust himself, LOL!)

Hehe--I loved the way Diana manhandled Neal!

Very nice slice of life story. I like Peter's thoughtful replies to Neal's questions. I thought he'd give the lecture right away, but instead chose to bring the answers out of Neal without one. I liked that a lot.

And, Satchmo just knowing Neal made me happy!

Thanks so much, Damietta! I'm so glad you enjoyed Peter's way of lecturing here. :)

We used to call my last dog the wonder watchdog--but not a prayer, lol. He never barked at anyone; he was just happy to see people, whether he knew them or not!

Aw, I'm a fan of fluffy. And yeah, when Peter found Neal with the cartel, he appeared more than slightly annoyed, LOL. But even with that, I have to agree - Peter's totally wrapped around his finger! :) Thanks for the read. :)

Thank you, hucknclem! I'm glad you enjoy fluffy, lol. And as for Peter--one of the things I most adore about him is that he's been wrapped around Neal's finger since the beginning.

I know, huh? :) As my friend pointed out, Peter's huge on the rules, but he lets Neal get away with a lot (as compared to one of our other favorite characters in fandom, who doesn't mind bending rules, but doesn't let anyone get away with anything, LOL!). If I wasn't so Criminal Minds obsessed right now, I'd be tempted to write WC. Lucky for me, you and Jet have fulfilled all my little fantasies already! Thanks for that! :)

Oh, I understand obsession! I'm so into White Collar that, as far as fan fiction goes, my other fandoms have fallen by the wayside. But if you can tear yourself away from CM even just a short time, I'd love to see your take on Peter and Neal!

“Listen to you, all repentant," Peter smirked. "Hard to admit that your actions have consequences and that you're not quite the center of the universe, huh?"

Nice line there.

Hey, why do I have to entere a code to leave a comment on your LJ? I always have to 'prove I'm human' and I am starting to have a complex.

Glad you liked that line, Ursula!

I'm sorry about the 'prove your human' thing. I didn't know that was happening! I'll check my settings and see if I can fix it. Thanks for the heads-up!
