Summary: A mighty vampire clan sends out two of their people to solve a case of disappearing villagers by another vampire castle. Of course this doesn’t go as planned.

“How could you?!”, Asagi suddenly snapped irritatedly at the other black haired man who was following him currently. He had turned so quickly that the other almost ran into him. Only his inhuman reflexes prevented them from colliding. Asagi didn’t mind either way. It wasn’t like it would be the first time that they stepped across the respectful distance they were supposed to keep while in the palace. His black eyes were burning with anger.

“I’m helping you, better be grateful”, the other replied calmly, only a very small smile showing how the other’s rage amused him.
“Helping my ass! I can do this alone! You just don’t want them to see my potential!”, Asagi spat, glaring as the other grinned at his choice of words, “Atsushi, I’m dead serious! Go back and tell them you’re not going!”

The other shook his head lightly, then reached out to touch the other’s long hair, but Asagi slapped the hand away and took a step back. He really was mad this time, wasn’t he?

Atsushi chuckled, then walked closer to him again, soon pushing him against a wall.

“Asagi … you’re young, you’re beautiful … there’s no need to rush things”, he purred, smirking as he felt the other’s body quiver when he pressed their chests together. Oh but he was so preciously sensitive to closeness, to touch. Atsushi took a few moments to just enjoy the soft tremors he caused just by standing so close, listened to the suddenly faster breathing, the suddenly so clear heartbeat that was at other times hard to even detect.

After some moments, the light in the stone hallway, that was created by dozens of candles, seemed to become dim, the faint golden glow suddenly blood red. Atsushi looked to Asagi’s eyes, only to find them closed. Yet he could see that he was crossing the line, and the other was unable to stop it.

Reluctantly, Atsushi stepped back, and almost instantly Asagi gasped and opened his eyes. They were blood red now, with a barely visible golden pattern. His breathing was shallow, and the look he was giving the other man was almost enough to make Atsushi grab him and ravish him there and then, but he had enough control to stop himself from doing so. He smiled softly, even as Asagi took a shaky step towards him.

“I suggest you get ready, we do have quite the journey ahead of us.”, Atsushi said calmly, then bowed and walked away. Just as he walked around the next corner, he could hear Asagi roaring with frustration. After all, this wasn’t the first time he walked away, leaving him in such a state, though he didn’t enjoy it. It was for the best of everyone. But maybe if they got to spend some time away from their usual place … who knew what would happen.

“It’s beautiful …”, Asagi said, completely in awe as he stared at the castle that was unfolding in front of them. They had just made it out of the forest in their little carriage, and now between the trees they could see it clearly. It was big, not as big as the place they came from, but it had an elegance about it that the other place lacked. The grey stone walls seemed to be ancient, though he knew for a fact that they could not be more than a hundred years old. Roses were climbing up the walls, blooming deep red and pure white. Legend had it, that those roses never withered, always grew and bloomed, even during winter when covered by snow.
Atsushi just nodded, then gave Asagi a rather serious, warning look.

“Don’t forget why we are here”, he said sternly, and Asagi sighed but eventually nodded.

They arrived at the castle only a few minutes later.

As they stepped out of the carriage, a thick, sweet scent of roses in full bloom hit them, and Atsushi saw that his younger companion closed his eyes and sighed. The scent was wrapping around their senses, making them more inclined to give in to seduction, and even though he was aware of it, Atsushi found himself unable to fight it off. Yet he tried, while Asagi obviously let himself fall into the scent.

He started walking towards the entrance, his long black coat gliding over the stone pavement with an elegance that Atsushi had never seen before. Everything about the way Asagi moved, how the gentle breeze played with his hair, the slight sway of his hips, caused by the high boots that wrapped so elegantly around his perfectly shaped calves…

Atsushi bit the inside of his cheek hard, drawing blood. It hurt of course, and that was what got him back to his senses.

“Welcome”, a soft, sonorous voice suddenly said, and Atsushi realized that Asagi had ‘found’ their target already. The man was not very tall, but wearing platform boots that made him a good bit taller. He wore elegant, no doubt expensive clothing, that seemed like he was some kind of aristocrat, and his long blond curls made the image even stronger. Asagi wasn’t moving as the other took his hand, gently kissed the back of it.

“I do not very often get guests that are of my own kind”, the blonde continued, then also nodded to Atsushi, “Please, do come in, we shall have dinner in a bit, you are invited to be my guests.”

It was not an invitation in fact. They had no choice, Atsushi realized, as a tall, black haired man with a rather grim expression suddenly appeared behind him, placed a hand on his shoulder and made him follow the blonde with some amount of gentle force.

To say the castle was beautiful had been an understatement. It was gorgeous with all the ornaments that decorated every free bit of wall or furniture, roses everywhere, scented candles, beautiful pictures often in golden frames, white framed mirrors … and of course the faint smell of blood that seemingly ghosted through the halls.

The blonde man was holding Asagi’s hand all the time, explaining to him every part of the castle that they passed through, even though Asagi probably didn’t even notice it. It was a bizarre situation. Atsushi had never seen Asagi look at someone with such utter fascination and devotion, and it filled him with jealousy. What did this guy even think to just put him under a spell? Asagi was inexperienced, he had no idea about these kind of things yet. He couldn’t know, that there was a special kind of roses that could be manipulated into giving off a hypnotizing scent.

They reached a huge hall after some moments. In the middle of it, there was a long wooden table, already filled with all sorts of food.

Atsushi arched an eyebrow, then looked over at the blond man curiously. Why actual food? There was no need for them to eat. More so … it limited their senses … and … was that his intention?

“Asagi!”, he suddenly said loudly, using one of his abilities to break the spell at least temporarily. The younger twitched visibly, then stared at the blond man who was still holding his hand. The blonde however … he only smiled.

“You will not accept anything he offers you”, Atsushi said strictly, and for reasons he couldn’t understand, that was the moment Asagi snapped.

“I know what I am doing!”, Asagi hissed and stomped over to him. The blonde didn’t even stop him. He was still smiling as Asagi stood in front of Atsushi then and glared at him.

“I’m not a baby or anything! I’m old enough to take care of myself! Stop projecting your bad memories onto me already! I’m not reckless and also more experienced than he was when…”, Asagi quickly covered his mouth with his hands and stared at the other as he realized what he had just said, “Atsu … I’m sorry…”

“Fine. Do whatever you please then”, Atsushi said, every little bit of softness drained from his voice and face, every bit of affection he usually showed the other … gone. He turned and rushed out of the room, out of the castle.

Asagi could only stare after him, paralyzed, until he suddenly felt an arm sliding around his waist.

“Oh honey, don’t feel bad”, the blond man purred, lips brushing against Asagi’s ear, “You don’t need him…”

Asagi noticed that the man smelled of roses. He didn’t give off the slightest bit of warmth, even the breath ghosting against his cheek was cold, and Asagi knew what that meant. This blond vampire … he was old. probably one of the oldest there were at this time. Why was he living this life then instead of aiming to take an official position?

“I am Kamijo”, he whispered, “And I would love if you could stay here… as part of our family. You would fit well. You are beautiful … and …”

The blond man grew quiet as he saw that Asagi was shaking lightly and had his eyes closed. Kamijo smirked.

“And there is some strength within you that he kept hidden from you…”

Gently, Kamijo pulled Asagi closer to him, enjoying how the black haired gasped, how his breathing grew shallow… he was incredibly sensitive… obviously he was very young, very fresh… probably his blood would still taste sweet as a human’s.

Slowly, the blond man placed his lips on the other’s neck, kissed him, suckled on the skin, then scraped his lightly with one of his fangs. Then suddenly he was forcefully thrown into the nearest wall. The air was knocked out of his lungs, and he tried hard to breathe, as he stared at the black haired, who was looking at him out of blood red eyes.

“What…”

“Don’t touch me”, Asagi growled.

Atsushi turned as he heard a scream coming from the castle. Not knowing what had happened, he rushed back. Even though he had been mad a moment before, he was still worried that something could have happened to Asagi.

Yet as he entered the room again, he noticed that Asagi was fine, just the blond vampire looked slightly damaged.

His beautiful curls were messed up, and his pretty clothing was torn on several places, with blood trickling out form under the fabric. He looked utterly startled, and Asagi… Asagi was shaking, obviously with fury.

“Only he is allowed to touch me like that”, Asagi growled, his voice so much unlike himself.

He was angry, furious with this man who had thought he could just do with him whatever he pleased. But that was not the case, and he knew that now.

Suddenly he felt an arm going around his waist, and feeling who it was, he relaxed, his eyes going back to their normal color.
“Thank you”, Atsushi hummed into Asagi’s ear, gently pulling the other against him, what instantly caused the younger to sigh softly, “It’s okay now…”

“Leave immediately”, someone suddenly ordered, as Kamijo was trying to regain his posture. A feminine blonde came rushing towards him. Only the person’s voice showed that he was actually male, everything else seemed like he was a pretty girl in a beautiful dress.

“You think we came here for fun?”, Atsushi asked, eying the two, before he shook his head, “We were sent here, because we heard word about people from the nearest village that disappeared after delivering something to this castle, so obviously to you.”
“Villagers?”, Kamijo asked, tilting his head, seemingly in confusion. But they knew they had to be careful. Most likely he was trying to trick them.

“Kamijo sama would not keep anyone against their will”, the pretty thing spoke up, causing Atsushi to snort. He shook his head as the other pouted. Kamijo still looked startled.

“Prove it”, Atsushi said, while Asagi was just leaning against him, eying the blonde with angry eyes.

“I can’t”, Kamijo spoke up, “How would I? You don’t believe me anyway and…”

“Kamijo sama”, the other blonde said harshly.

Kamijo sighed, then smiled again.

“Hizaki suggest we take you around the castle, so you will see nobody is here. You can detect traces of life, yes? When did the last one disappear?”, Kamijo asked.

“About a day ago”, Asagi answered.

“That should be fresh enough, yes? Or no?”

“It will be just fine”, Atsushi said, suddenly a lot friendlier, what earned him a confused look from Asagi.

They observed the whole castle, Kamijo and Hizaki leading the way, Atsushi right behind them and Asagi trailing a little further behind. He was busy looking at everything, the details fascinated him. Eventually Kamijo fell back too, leaving Hizaki to lead the group.

“It’s amazing, isn’t it?”, the blonde asked.

Asagi eyed him warily, but eventually nodded and smiled.

“It was built by humans, you know… at a time when I was still young”, Kamijo explained, smiling a little.

Asagi gave him a confused look. Hadn’t they said this castle was new? That the vampires here were not bound to a clan and didn’t obey any rules? Slowly it occurred to him, that something was foul about all of this.

“And why do you live here now?”, he couldn’t help but ask.

Kamijo flashed him a stunning smile, then made a very cocky gesture with his arms.

“Because, who else could live in a place as beautiful as this?”, he asked, holding his nose up so high that Asagi thought he would hit it on the ceiling, “And… because the humans abandoned it a while back, and we happened to find it. It’s in a spot that’s perfect for growing roses…”

“Roses?”, Asagi asked, and the other nodded, then smiled a little.

“That’s our little secret though…”, he whispered, “Roses are what gives us our long lives and beauty… without them, we would be nothing special. We would be just like the people where you come from… old, stripped of their elegance and beauty… but you and your friend, you are different…”

Asagi blinked at the blonde, and before he knew it, the man’s arms were around him, and he pulled him closer. Involuntarily, Asagi shivered. The closeness to someone like Kamijo was making him feel lightheaded… he could feel the blond man’s power running through his body, almost like waves, waves of the ocean when the flood came. He was almost pulsating… vibrating… and the energy he now gave off seemed to make him glow.

“You both… you are not like them…”, Kamijo whispered, smiling as he lowered his lips onto Asagi’s neck. In the distance, he could hear Atsushi call his name, but he was unable to react, unable to move.

~~~
Asagi chuckled softly as he ran his fingers over Atsushi’s skin. The man was sleeping, but he twitched and mumbled every time Asagi tickled him. It was an adorable sight, even more so since he was only in a pair of soft, black silk pants, that matched Asagi’s white silk robe, which was actually more of a short dress than anything else.
They were lying on a large, incredibly soft bed, and they were shielded from the outside world by white curtains, that only allowed gentle light through. They were surrounded by the quite heavy scent of roses, and it had something incredibly calming… no wonder Atsushi didn’t want to wake up…
Slowly, Asagi shifted, then leaned down to the other, so he could gently kiss his chest. He noticed how clean the other smelled… he only smelled of himself, and it was so manly… yet so comforting… alluring… and he started to feel his body heat up the more he thought about the other.
The older man sighed as Asagi started to nibble on his skin, and soon enough he opened his eyes, blinked confusedly.
“Asagi?”, he asked quietly.
“Mhm…”
Again Asagi kissed the other’s chest, feeling the other’s skin and muscles under his lips. He moved lower slowly, kissing his stomach, but as he moved down to the other’s hips, he was suddenly stopped and pulled up again.
“Asagi… how did we get here?”, he asked quietly.
The younger blinked, then tilted his head, before he smiled cutely.
“I don’t know”, he answered honestly, “I woke up and we were here… it’s a beautiful place, so I didn’t think about it”
Atsushi hesitated, then nodded, and Asagi went back to kissing his body.
He moved down now, pulling away the soft material of the other’s pants, so he could get what he really wanted at that point. There was a part of the other that he hadn’t really felt yet, and he wanted to know all of him… all there was.
Asagi could hear the other gasp softly when his lips brushed against his most sensitive parts, and it made him smile. How he loved those sounds when they came from the other man… there was nothing more sensual than his voice, was there?
Slowly, he started to take just the very tip of the other’s already surprisingly hard need between his lips, drawing another gasp from him. Asagi pulled back again, slowly ran his tongue over the length, before he was suddenly pulled up yet again.
Atsushi crashed their lips together, the lust hazing his mind. He pushed Asagi back so he would lie on the bed beneath him now. The need in the younger’s eyes was staggering, made him groan involuntarily. Without hesitating any longer, he pushed the other’s legs apart, settling down between them. He then pushed away the silken clothing, that easily slipped up, revealing the other’s otherwise naked body.
“You’re more beautiful than I ever imagined…”, he whispered softly, causing the younger to blush. Fascinating, how he had this effect on him so easily. He really did enjoy this a lot, didn’t he? Or was it just because of the closeness he always enjoyed so much?
He took a few moments just to take in the other’s looks, before he leaned down, kissed him gently. As his hand moved between the other’s legs, seeking out his entrance, Atsushi placed his lips on the other’s neck, at first kissing softly, but as soon as he pushed a finger into the other’s body and he heard him moan hotly, he gave a soft groan and sunk his fangs into his neck. Suddenly, as he tasted the other’s blood, his mind was blank, only Asagi was important, only to feel him, to be joined with his beauty. He pulled his hand away, then without wasting a thought on human things like lube or preparation, he pushed his need into the other’s tight body. He could hear Asagi groan loudly, but his body instantly gave way, adjusted to him. Neither of them would be feeling any pain, at least not from this. That Atsushi’s teeth were still buried in Asagi’s neck while he started to thrust into him, that he was sucking his blood was surely painful, but it was the kind of pain Asagi obviously liked. He was groaning, arching his back, trying to get more, closer…
It didn’t take long until they were both giving off sounds of pleasure they had never made before, and all too soon they both climaxed, before collapsing on the bed. Asagi tried to mutter something, but the words came out barely understandable, as he snuggled close to the other. Soon, they were both drifting off into a deep sleep.
~~~

“How long will they stay like this?”, Hizaki asked, peeking past the curtains of the huge bed. It smelled of sex and blood, and how badly he wanted some too, but he would never speak about things like that.

“For a few days, then they will be able to think and talk properly again, without starting to ravish each other”, Kamijo said, sounding mildly amused, “Though it’s sad, I like them this way… they are amusing, though also very useless otherwise”

“So what about the villagers? They fulfilled their purpose… are they to be set free?”, a slim light-blonde boy with large eyes suddenly asked, walking up to Kamijo. He looked worried, and it caused Hizaki to give a snort of laughter. Kamijo grinned at the not very elegant sound.

“Well… we could. Or we keep them, make them part of our family. Do you like them, Teru?”, Kamijo asked the boy, then turned to the other one, “I know you were eying one of them, weren’t you, Hizaki?”

The blonde in question instantly twitched and turned, pouting.

“I was not. I do not look at humans”, he said, then left the room quickly, causing Kamijo to grin.

“His lovey’s name is Yuki”, Teru informed, “He might want to stay… but the others…”

“Should not concern you. I do want to keep them as family, not as slaves, Teru. Why are you worried so much?”, Kamijo asked, looking dangerous.

Hastily, the boy shook his head.

“I… am not”, Teru said quickly, then bowed.

“Good… get Masashi then. Someone needs to guard those two while we are busy”, Kamijo said, waving his hand at the bed, then he smirked, flashing one of his teeth, “We wouldn’t want anything to happen to them, right?”
