Mini Rant...
What the hell is happening to VK? I think it' dying. D:
Okay, I noticed a while back, when GazettE really started gaining some momentum that alice nine. started dressing more in the same vein as them. Since a9 is still a pretty young band, I didn't think much about it that long ago... they are still finding themselves. Cool. Evs. But then, I saw the new 12012 PV "merry go world" and I'm wtf-ing. The music change was a bit drastic (but I knew that when I bought Cyclone). I mean, I still like it, it's just a dramatic change. And in the new PV, I was suddenly seeing the visual styles starting to be in the same vein as gaze and a9 too. Now, I just watched the new Ayabie single "TheMe" PV and guess what? They are all starting to look like the others too? WTH? Is this just me?
That's for the lighter bands, I'm noticing the darker bands are all doing the similar things too. Instead of gaze it seems like they are all following Diru's change with the dark suits, or dress shirts and trousers. Girugamesh, Rentrer en Soi, Sadie...
It's all kinda starting to look like light and dark versions of the same thing to me. ;o;
I thought VK was about being unique? Did I miss a memo somewhere? Or is this just what happens when all visual bands leave the underground and have to seem more marketable? Because it's just not looking to visual to me anymore.
