There's just something about a good movie that can be so.. I don't even know, but I did cry at the end of King Kong so yeah.. Movies move me <3333

That is exactly the one I'm talking about. I thought it was going to be the usual kind of girl marries guy, guy goes to war, girl thinks he's dead so she cheats (but not really cause she thinks he's all dead and shit) then he comes back and BAM catastrophe. That thought alone made me not want to see it at first but I thought why not. It is not what I thought and if you're thinking what I thought, it's not what you think either.

I fucking love scary movies!!!! I mean, you give me a good one and it's like.. I have an appreciation for anything that makes it hard for me to sleep @ night. Does that make me wierd?? Hell yeah ♥ I was kinda urked when I saw the reviews. I thought it was amazingly done and so true to the original <333

Hm.. I have like a laundry list of movies that I have seen and loved both old and new. By old I mean, oooold (which really probably isn't that most of my fave oldies come from the '50s & '60s).

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.
A Streetcar Named Desire.
A Hard Day's Night. *g*
Imitation of Life.
Black Orpheus.
The Odd Couple.
Some Like It Hot.
Sunset Boulevard.
&
West Side Story.

Then there are all the newer ones that I love:

Lianna.
Grease.
But I'm a Cheerleader!
D.E.B.S.
Step Brothers.
Jurassic Park.
Some Kind of Monster.
Halloween (original & remake).
Nightmare on Elm Street.
Pretty all of M. Night Shymalan's movies ;D (The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, The Village, The Happening, Signs, The Buried Secret of M. Night Shymalan)

And the newest of the new:
The Wolf Man
Brothers

I can't think of more because my brain is giving me the finger and walking off for a smoke. Told you I had a lot XD

I'm most glad to help <33333

The first time I saw Some Like It Hot I was blown away by the theme. Then the ending really surprised me. I mean, we get no indication that the old man is kidding when he (delightfully) dismisses the gender confession of his 'new gal'. It was a damn good film. I don't even care that I recently found out that MM was total Bitch during filming :P

The Odd Couple pleased me so because it made me think of House & Wilson (House MD). What a hilarious film :D

My alltime favorite Shymalan movies are The Sixth Sense, Signs & Unbreakable. The Happening didn't scare me, but it creeps me out whenever it comes to mind. Just like how I am with The Exorcist ::shudders::

I actually just finished reading Jurassic Park & The Lost World. The books were better in some places. Though, it was nice to be able to visualize faces with the characters :)

Any movie recommendations you want to make for someone with a craving for a really good indie horror film?

The fact you said that The Exorcist of all the things you could have picked creeps you out is really funny because The Exorcist freaks me out to death xD It's not so much the 'OH MY GOD SCARY' thing,it's just SO DISTURBING. The fact they used a real little girl instead off an actress who looked young.....Eep.

Also I saw The Sixth Sense for the first time when I was about 10 so I think it'll always scare me a little even though the ending makes me cry everytime like a big doofus. xD

OH? God,we have those books around here somewhere........MUST READ. xD

Ooooooh you're opening a can of worms here xD
Lets see. God,I can think of tons but wonder if they qualify as 'indie'.

A favourite horror of mine might not class COMPLETELY as indie but we'll make allowances xD
It's called RAVENOUS and stars the ever great Guy Pearce and Robbie Carlyle. It's set in the civil war and very atmospheric and has an amazing musical score that makes it extra creepy. The theme is cannibalism which can get chills from most people right away. xD
I'll look up a few more of my faves to see if they have that edgy indie label xD <3

YES! I was a real sadsack and went to see The Crazies on it's opening day xD Then I found out I was eve more of a sadsack as it was the first showing as well. It's good! It'll make you jump a lot,it's good for the tense atmosphere.
.........One of the nicest things anyone could ever say to me is I am a walking film reference humanoid.
I might get all emotional and embrace you in a big movie style hug until you hit me over the head with a cuckoo clock.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA oh,oh em I don't realise how much I miss you until I read stuff like this. <3 I really do.
I first of all love the idea that you are set the challenge to find your dad xD...Even more amazed you actually found him.
I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW I ONLY SWING FROM THE WINDOW ON A WEDNESDAY EVE. SO....THAT SHOWED YOU.
You're right, someone has to keep an eye on me but do you think you are the one to do that? Do you have the qualification to care for a deeply disturbed individual whos been inside three times?
