Either I'm smart, or...

...LOST writers are getting a -little- lazy... or they're really trying to force irony.

I'm mostly enjoying the new season, but I'm finding some "twists" or "surprises" a little predictable.

Last week I figured out really early in the episode that Sayid was working for Benry. Right at the moment Sayid said about Ben, "...when I trust that man, I will slit my throat," (or something to that effect) I knew that's who he was working for.

And this week, I figured out that Kate's "son" was Aaron before it was revealed. Now, I admit, it wasn't early on, and it wasn't when Kate told Sawyer that she wasn't pregnant (I just figured she'd lie for his benefit). It was when Kate said to Jack, "I understand why you don't want to see the child." It was "soooo ironic" when the boy turned out to be Aaron, as we saw earlier in the episode that Kate did not want to hold him when Claire was busy.

So, yeah... I'm finding these little twists... well, a bit forced, I guess. Or just predictable. Sure, I'm still finding myself asking questions, "Where'd they get this story of 8 survivors?" and "If there were 8 survivors, what happened to the other two that didn't become part of the 'Oceanic 6'?" At least I'm still wondering why the people that came off the island are caught up in all these lies. (Although I think it's got something to do with the Benry and the other "faction" that he's in conflict with, as hinted in Hurley's flash-forward.)

Anyway... that's my LOST rant. Discuss. :)
