Florida
A bit late on this one... but better late than never!
First, Laura and I went with her family to Orlando. This is the second year we've done this, in what will continue probably every year for the foreseeable future. This year, we did a lot more hanging out at the resort than we did last year... so there won't be quite as much to tell about. We flew down on Sunday May 2, and returned on Sunday May 9. We spent most of the day on Monday at Disney. Rode the Toy Story ride/game (Which I won for the second year in a row!). In the late afternoon, Laura and I took Eli (Our 1 year old nephew) back to the resort since we had been out in the heat all day, and took some naps. Well... from what I hear, I took a nap while Eli used me as a jungle gym =)
Tuesday, 5 of us drove 5 hours to Miami to go to a Florida Marlins game, against the San Francisco Giants. The game started out pretty boring and going by really fast... but then around the 6th inning, everybody forgot how to field, and the score went up pretty quickly, and the innings got longer and longer. Not a bad game, but very hot... and had some REALLY annoying little kids behind us, screaming at the top of their lungs before EVERY pitch. Not occasionally, EVERY... SINGLE... PITCH! I'm surprised my ears didn't bleed. Then... the 5 hour drive back.
The rest of the week was pretty much spent chilling at the resort. Lyle and I played a round of night golf on Thursday, we spent some time around the pools, and quite a bit of time at the bars. Not too exciting, but nice and relaxing
