SISSY!
It looks as if Meredith Ellen will be coming up to visit us with her mom and little sister around Susan’s birthday (Groundhog Day). Apparently, ME has been having sobbing I-WANT-SISSY attacks, so bad that they had to pull her out of school one day last week and she’s been a wreck since. I know it’s a weird situation for people to understand, but the bond between this little girls is very very strong, and ME’s little sister has seriously taken a shine to us as she’s gotten older. You have to see the Meredith-Meredith bond to grok it; I never believed in twin bonds till I saw these two. We simply can’t afford the trip, and they’re overdue for a trip north, so the two girls and Mom will come up (Dad will stay home and save the plane fare).
We’re sad that she’s going through all this, but we’ve had plenty of I-WANT-SISSY attacks on our side as well, if not quite the same as this. So we understand. And it kills us to see the girls separated so in distance and miserable missing each other. Neither of the down-South kids has ever seen serious snow, of course. Mere’s hoping to teach them all about it. She’s beside herself with joy to think of Sissy coming up to her place.
