I was thinking of the 9th - 11th c. Saxon version, which was basically a band over the head and under the chin to which the veil was pinned. The one you found would be about 14th c.. And I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't even think of the later version.....

And now you know just what kind of history-geek trivia I carry around in my head. :)
