Being unable to get around very well is a PITA all over the place, and especially on vacation. Wheelchairs (unpowered) are fine for travel on flat surfaces, but not up and down hills of any sort. I was lucky because the folks at Kentucky Down Under helped out with their own golf carts and whatnot to get me in and out of bad situations, but ( Read more... )

Wow, I haven't been there in years. I grew up in North Carolina and we'd often stop there and buy our illegal fireworks.

Words cannot describe the experience of going there.
The sheer politically incorrectness of it all.
The thousands of tons of plastic that went into not only it'd structures, but the garbage they sell as souvenirs.

South of the Border a "roadside attraction" in South Carolina. It's about halfway between Florida and New York, so it's one heck of a tourist trap. You'll see signs for it both ways on I-95 all up and down the East Coast.

Helps in my ignorance that I was raised in Ohio and spent minus time in the Southeast, with the exception of runs to Florida via I-75.
