Cloudy, no eclipse:

This last week has been a fun fest for me; fell down the stairs to the basement early Sunday morning and generally hu5rt myself - and suffered a mild concussion.   The swelling and pain have down down, but I’m still moving rather gingerly.  And sometime Friday, I came down with what is probably a case of stomach flu - which was majorly unpleasant, and is still ongoing.  (I’ll spare you the TMI, but it’s been unfun for everyone, not just me, especially since it’s hard to end up doing your share of the household stuff when you’re either queasy or sleeping or worse).  Also  going in for (more TMI) later this week, which is a real load of laughs.

Mere has been asked out to a fancy luncheon by a family friend (along with Susan) today in the loop, so I’ll be looking forward to her reactions to that.  I was going to go out on a separate luncheon with my MIL Connie to a local Indian place, but I think that my stomach isn’t going to tolerate that very well.  Honestly, I don’t expect this to hand on, but I’m not going to *urp* test fate on this.

Meredith’s first skating competition of the year is going on this next Sunday in Aurora, and she’s practicing every night this week on the new parts of their routine (well, the whole routine including the new stuff).   Getting this done ends up really socking in our spare time, and will wilt Mere energy-wise, so I will have to help out in odd ways, especially in supervising homework.  Susan and Mere completed work on a catapult for her Science class this weekend, and I expect that getting everything done will be a challenge.

I managed through a fluke to trim down the number of non-functional PCs in the house to one; the financial PC was about to be shipped off to Acer when I readjusted the BIOS setup on which drive booted first; whatever was in there to monkey with that setting, I dunno, but now it boots fine, and I’m busy trying to get it back up and repopulated with programs.    Still have Susan’s laptop to fix….
